Paris in November is cold and windy!!!

Well we made it to Paris. A last minute decision to go but a good one. We all got first class but just barely. Kids almost had to ride in coach! Got 1st from Tampa to Newark as well!! Anyway arrived in Paris very early and wizzed through immigration etc. We left our bags at a train station and went exploring. We went to Napoleon's tomb and military museum . . .very intersting World Wars section. We then took a walk to the Eiffel Tower to catch a local bus that does a run that covers just about all the sites. We finally got to the apartment with our bags around 3:30. The apartment is in a fairly old building probably from the early 1900's. It used to be a luxury hotel on Champs Elysees but has turned into an apartment/office building. Small but perfect for a few days and we're right on the Champs Elysees right near the Arc de Triomph. (Please don't judge my spelling too much!!) The picture of the Arch was taken in front of our apartment. We had crepes on Rue Cler and then went for a night visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The wind was blowing so hard I was actually scared we'd be blown right off the tower!!! A great but exhausting day! More tomorrow!
