Rainy, cold & windy day in Paris
What a day! Woke up to an annoying drizzle, gale force winds, well, more like gale force gusts, and cold. But we started our walk anyway. We made it to the Arc de Triomphe got completely wind blown on top and decided it was a day to be in the Louvre. We spent most of the day there with out realizing it! What a fabulous museum. Of course we saw the Mona Lisa, but there was so much more. We didn't leave until 4:30 and I thought it was about 2:30 (I don't have a watch with me)! Anyway, the rest of our plan was kind of shot so we decided to spend the rest of the evening in Montmartre. We went to the Basilica and then walked around a bit and ate a real french meal in a small local cafe. Meal was great, Nicholas learned that duck really tastes like turkey and he doesn't like lamb all that much. Ana had steak, she was hungry and wasn't up for experimenting! On the way back we had dessert crepes to go. Can't get any more french than that! Well in our minds anyway. We are all very tired. Tomorrow is another busy day!
