We are in Vienna!

We finally got to Vienna via Chicago and Brussels.  Business first of course was a pleasure.  I actually slept really well in the flatbed seat.  We got an Austrian Airways flight to Vienna and they gave us these great crackers and pretzels.  The crackers are in the shape of planes and the pretzels are in the shape of clouds.  I don't know but Austrian Airways may be my new favorite airline!!

After a shower and a little nap we went to the State Opera house for a live showing of tonight's opera out on the square . . . turned out that the ballet was doing Swan Lake.  Really wanted to see an opera but the ballet was pretty cool.

After 1/2 hour of ballet, we went to Prater Park.  It's an amusement park with some of the scariest rides I have ever seen.  These people are nuts.  There's a Ferris wheel from the 1800's and a massive amount of beer gardens!  There a little "village" that is Oktoberfest year round.  Very cool, full of locals doing their Oktoberfest thing dressed in traditional costumes and not for tourists.  We had a fabulous dinner at a local restaurant that included this 2lb pork knuckle!  The potato salad was to die for.

That's it for now, super tired and really want to see something other than food tomorrow!!!!
