Brataslava on to Budapest

So the day started a bit rainy, but by the time we got to the city center in Brataslava it was just cloudy, thank goodness. We really enjoyed Brataslava.  Its definitely a city in transition from the communist era.  A lot of old building in much need of repair, but there are also many sections that have been updated.  It was a haphazard place to drive, though not as bad as Italy!!

After returning the car at the airport we caught a bus and headed for the train station.  Everything was so "cold war" feeling, but then there would be and H&M and an Ikea.  Such contradiction through out the whole city.  Got on a train for Budapest with no issues, actually had perfect timing, only had to wait 15 minutes.  There were some beautiful, interesting and sad sights along the way.  The train was going so fast we weren't able to get too many pictures:

So we are here in Budapest.  It was a very long exhausting day.  The train and bus to get to the hotel took awhile because we had to learn the system.  We arrive at the hotel and got the most unbelievable treatment.  It was wonderful considering how exhausted we were.  This hotel is beautiful with the most beautiful view.  And to top it off, they had dinner waiting for us.  Didn't know dinner was included too!!  Got to love Hilton!!! Tomorrow we get to explore this gorgeous city!
