| Moose, Ostrich, Donkey, Horse, Rabbit, Deer, to name a few sausages! |
| Peter Piper picked a peck of these! |
After the Market we went to the Great Synagogue. Beautiful building with memorials to the holocaust. There were people crying when looking at the Tree of Life pictured below. Every leave is the name of a person who was killed by the Nazi's. They are still being added.
We finally made it to the Baths. It was a little weird but really nice and relaxing. The water comes from underground thermal springs. Each bath has a different mineral content and temperature to cure something. What it cures we're not sure!! It did however rejuvenate our aching feet.
We ended the night at a Ruin Pub. The Jewish Quarter was completely abandoned after WW2 and the Communist didn't want anything to do with it. After the communist government fell, starting in the late 1990's young people starting opening bars and coffee shops etc in the old ruined buildings. They are called Ruin Pubs and the buildings should all be condemned! It was quite an experience. Robert said it kind of felt like walking into a Star Wars Bar! (If you've seen the movies, you know)
Looks like we will be coming home on Wednesday. Flights to difficult to catch tomorrow. We'll let you all know how it goes!
