Had a another great day exploring! Started out this morning looking out the window and seeing rain! This is the view from our room.

It's a fabulous view!
The rain lasted just a few minutes and it ended up being a beautiful day. We started out at the Memento Park which is basically a burial ground for old "Cold War" era statutes and monuments.

Should have rented a Japanese car!!!!
We spent the rest of the day walking around the city center on the Pest side. We would see a building that was very interesting or beautiful and walk to it only to turn the corner and find something even better. The buildings are old and beautiful. Something I really didn't expect to see here other than the Parliament Building.
The cathedral is St Stephens in the city center. We actually went up the dome together - no spiral stairs - an elevator! Really got to see a lot of the city, though it was a bit hazy. The next picture is of the Hilton to the right of the church in the upper middle of the picture. The Hilton is actually built in the ruins of a 12th century church. Pretty cool.
That's it for today . . . tomorrow we bathe in the Thermal Springs!
