Today was Vatican Day. We went to the audience with the Pope and got within a few feet of him as he drove by to the front of St. Peters. This Pope does not do small audiences only general audience with 7,000 of your closest friends and family. It was a great experience. Most of it was in Italian but he read a scripture in English. The end he sang the Lord's Prayer in Latin. How often to you get to sing the Lord's prayer with the Pope! After that we went to the Vatican Museum. Kids actually enjoyed the museum! Later everyone except me climbed to the top of the dome. You know me and spiral stairs, we just are not friends. We actually so someone from church here! It was in a back street at a cafe. How bizarre! It took me a few minutes to realize who I was looking at. Anyway, Nicholas is doing a lot better, another day I think and he'll be back to normal. I'm running out of internet time, I'll post pictures soon!
Sounds like another wonderful day. Too bad you could not climb to the top of the dome. Glad Nicholas is doing better, I know they will remember this even if they we so, so about part of it. We finally have sunshine today and are stuck inside!!! They tell us we will have plenty of sun. Hope your weather continues to be good, it sure looks nice. Love, Grandma
