Tuscany

What a great day. We rented a car and drove to Siena, then to San Gimigano, and then let the GPS direct us the long way back to Florence through the hills and back roads. I now understand the obsession with Tuscany. It's absolutely beautiful. Even the kids enjoyed all the driving. We were suppose to do a hike to Castelvecchio - the ruins of a medieval village - but started a little too late and decided since it was a very rustic hike and we had no flashlights etc that we'd better not continue. A little disappointment with that but it was still a good adventure. The town that the trail started from appeared to have about 10 residents!
