Took a very early flight from Brussels on Alitalia. When we got to Rome they told us that there would be no trains to the city due to a breakdown. Typical Italian train system! Anyway we bought shuttle bus tickets and just before we were to get on the bus the trains started again! We took the train. Our hotel is nice and close to the train station. We are exhausted. Nicholas has a cold and slept all afternoon while the rest of us went out looking around the neighborhood etc. (We went to a pharmacy for some basic cold medicine and they knocked him out almost before he could change his clothes! He was actually slurring his words! He's not taking that medication during the day anymore!) Nicholas did get out later in the evening when we went to the Trevi Fountain for some gelato after a fabulous dinner. The food is fantastic!!!

I have always wanted to see the Trevi Fountain since I first saw the film Three Coins in a Fountain. Sorry you have a cold Nicholas, sounds like that medecine was a bit heavy!!!!
