Venice!! What a great way to end the Italy portion of the trip. I think we were finally able to impress the kids. There was definitely a lot of "wow"s. We've not had a single day of bad weather. We had a little bit of rain in Brussels the first day and that's it. We've been very lucky!Picture of the view from our hotel balcony and our gondola ride.
We decided that leaving from Frankfurt was our best choice so we took a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt. It was a great stop. Had a great German meal in an Apple Wine Tavern. The historic center was beautiful. Now we are leaving for home. Flights out of Newark look terrible. Not sure if we'll be home on Thursday or Friday.
You guys have had one fantastic trip. Ana, are you sorry you went? I am sure you have lots to tell your friends. I am anxious to hear all about it. Hope you don't have too many hours in the airport!!! Have safe travels home. Edie, you did one great job planning this. Maybe you should think about being a travel agent!!! Love Grandma
