Day Four Finally A Sunny Day!

We finally got a nice sunny day! We took a side trip to Kamakura about an hour outside of Tokyo to see the "Great Buddha". He's reeeeally big! We then went to the Hasedera Temple near by with a really pretty view of the bay. The whole town is very historical and full of tourists! But it was a good experience.

















We finally made it the the Mejii Shrine. It's in a very large park and is a nice sunny day walk. We saw three wedding processions. All three brides had very elaborate and beautiful gowns on.

We've been on the look out for a ramen place called Ichiran since we got here. We read about it on line and really wanted to try it out. We finally found it today and realized we'd been walking right by it almost daily!!! In any case we ate there today and it was fabulous.


This Ramen place had a very complicated and precise way to order your ramen exactly like you like it, how much fat do you want, how firm do you want your noodles etc. It was great!

I feel like I walked 100 miles today! That's it for now!
