TOKYO!! We made it!

Okay, so that was a very long flight and a very long day!. I've got no pictures to post because we've been up now for over 24 hours, minus a few on the plane. We all got first class together so that was good. They fed us three times and it was all fabulous. It took forever to get through immigration and then there was some sort of train accident so the train to the city was delayed. We were met at our train station my Makato our only friend in Japan! He's great. Showed us the apartment and explained all the rules and customs. Way too many to go into here. The basics do not wear shoes in the house, must wear house slippers, and the garbage must be divided into 5 categories. The garbage system is very detailed!!!!! Anyway, our first meal was at ramen shop right across the street from our apartment. No pictures on the menu and no English, a real neighborhood place run by an older couple. After a lot of laughing from us and them and a lot of pointing at things we ordered. Food was great but we ordered too much, so we asked for take out . . . you have to bring your own pot for that. The kids went back to the apartment and got some pots! The apartment is very small but modern and extremely clean in a great neighborhood very close to the train station. Anyway, I'm about to fall a sleep. I promise pictures tomorrow!
