We also visited for a short and I mean short time the ICE BAR. It is a bar made completely of ice. Even the glasses are made of ice! They keep it at -5 degrees Celsius and have to provide you with big capes and gloves in order to stay for more than a minute. We were freezing!
This is a work in progress. We've set up this blog to help us keep in touch with our family and friends while we're traveling. There will be more to come . . . check back soon!

Denmark 2009 The First Day
Mom and I arrived in Copenhagen 1 1/2 hours late due to some maintenance workers disagreement in Newark. We were able to get first class. Mom really enjoyed herself. (Me too! Food and drink were excellent as usual.) We are staying in a hotel that is in the middle of everything. We walked a lot today. The city seems pretty quiet but is really pretty a little like Paris. It is very cold - mid 40's I think. We took a bus tour today to get a quick look at what we want to see and where it is. We did stop to see a couple of things a long the way. . .
This is the original "little mermaid".
We went to this castle - Rosenborg Castle that was home to Christian IV. Quite a guy! The crown jewels are stored here also. Some really beautiful stuff.
