Day Three Tokyo Again with the rain!?!?

Another rainy day today, though it did clear up near the end. We started out at the Panasonic headquarters and their exhibit hall. We found the tv we want . . . it's the world's largest HD Plasma screen. The picture is great and it only cost 600,000 yen - $60,000 dollars or there about! They had even more stuff than interesting stuff than Sony. Everyone in Japan seems to be looking at their cell phones all the time. I thought there was just a huge amount of texting going on ... no they are watching TV. It's coming to us soon to I'm sure!

We also went to the Imperial Palace and East Gardens. The gardens were nice but I bet they are beautiful in the spring. Cant' really see anything of the Palace just the gate and their version of the changing of the guard. We happened by accident to be their for the 1 minute ceremony. Very orderly and quiet.

We finished the day at the Government Building observation deck. Tokyo is truly huge. It's amazing how many people there are everywhere and the buildings go for ever! It's hard to believe but the subway is almost silent even with massive amounts of people. No one and I me no one is ever rude. They make room for as many has possible to sit and they wait for the trains is single file lines they form with out direction! Anyway, I digress . . . we had dinner on the 29th floor of a building in Shinjuku (where most of the famous skyscrapers are) next to the window overlooking the city. Very nice!

We're exhausted and because of the rain don't have that many pictures to post. Tomorrow is suppose to be a better day. We hope. There's a typhoon coming right for Japan on Wednesday or Thursday but we'll be missing the bad weather.
(Nicholas and Robert snuck into the Budacon right after some sort of graduation. The almost got locked in!)
